The stronger choice is the one that matches your target employers, current experience, and the kind of technical problems you want to solve.
AWS Certification or Azure Certification: Start With Job Fit

Your current environment can shorten the learning curve, but it should not trap you. Someone with strong Microsoft experience may grasp Azure identity and hybrid administration faster. Familiarity creates momentum, which matters when you are balancing study with a full time job.
Still, career direction matters more than comfort. If your organization is migrating to AWS, choosing Azure because it feels familiar can limit immediate opportunities. If your target employer is a Microsoft partner, an AWS credential might not be the strongest first signal. Look for the intersection of what you know, what employers need, and what you want to learn.
Also consider the role itself. Solutions architects need strong design judgment, cost awareness, security knowledge, and an ability to compare services. There is no universal answer to whether AWS or Azure exams are harder. Difficulty depends on your experience and the specific certification.
